New Chapter

Why is it as children we can't wait to grow up, drive a car, spend our own money and basically do whatever we want? I remember my parents always telling me "you're only a kid once, live it up!" Well as usual for parents, they were right! About a month after I graduated I got my first job! I remember being so nervous, I didn't know what to expect. I had my sister help with my resume' (which I had never done anything besides dance and cheer and that won't help me get a job), got all dressed up and went in! My childhood best friend had referred me and they didn't even interview me. I went in talked to the manager about her fish, and dogs and then she took me to the area I would be working and asked them when they wanted me to start! The 53 women and 5 doctors grew to be my family over the last few years! They were there for every step of my moms passing, getting me through college, getaways with friends, or time off to babysit my adorable nieces! They always tell me that even though I lost my mom I gained 53. I felt like that really was a true statement, they often sent me home early to study for finals, invited me to movies, lunch dates, give me Jazz tickets, ReAl tickets, date nights with their spouses and just chat every day for 8+ hours. Well this all came to an end. My manager (or as she prefers Mamma T) put my name out there for a job opening up at St. Marks. I went in and once again apparently I already had the job they just had to clear my background check before they could give me an offer. I have gone through a million emotions in the last two weeks! I am so incredibly blessed to have this opportunity and although I will miss my AIM family, I am so anxious to meet the 14 physicians, 2 PA's and countless office staff in the Heart Center! I'm also incredibly blessed to have a father who holds the priesthood. Nothing calms me more than a fathers blessing, and I am grateful that he could come over and give me one this morning, great way to start out my Sunday!  I'm ready for my first "real" job now that I have graduated from the U! New adventure that I'm super excited for!
