Manic Monday

Ever have those phone calls where once you hear the voice of a loved one it makes you want to cry because you miss them so much? It hasn't happened in years until last night and if I wasn't in front of a large group of friends I haven't known that long I probably would. It could have been the emotions I was dealing with but let me back track to hours before it happened! I never thought I would have a Monday blog worthy day but the BFF is right and I need to remind myself how this night went a million different ways...Work was work although I did get my favorite meal at lunch. Well on my way to the BFF's after work I got a flat, GREAT! Seriously if you knew the luck I had with flats it wouldn't surprise you! Mike came and saved the day, and over an hour later Katie and I were back on schedule! We decided since we were already late to FHE I deserved Zupas again! I ate my favorite salad twice in one day, and was in heaven! We made it to the pool party where it was great to be back with the friends and we planned to play our weekly night games after at the park! I check my phone and had a missed call and voicemails from my dad and an unknown number. I listen and I hear one of the greatest sounds on earth. My oldest niece telling me that she didn't mean to bug me while I was out with friends but she just wanted to let me know that she loves me and misses me. Katie saw my reaction to the phone call and covered for me while I slipped away to call her back! I love how close the two of us are. She calls me out on my crap and I love her for that. Katie stole the phone for a few minutes and when I got it back Alana says "Cee-Cee stop being supid with boys and being only friends with them" Thanks BFF for bringing the 9 year old into it! Ha no really Alana and I have the most incredible relationship and I cherish it, even when we fight like sisters. Anywho eventually Katie and I went and got the glow sticks and were on our way to meet up with everyone at the park when we got an unexpected phone call...Mark and Bradley wanted to hang out!!! Wha??? This hasn't happened in months!!!! We tell them where to go and seriously I got the biggest energy boost! We played ultimate for 3 HOURS!!! I have bruises all over from diving for the dumb thing but I am happy to say that Bradley, Katie, Mark, Daniel and I won by a long shot! We ended up having "real talk" with the Fab Four for another hour. Bradley was sooo happy and he kept saying "Don't go, I'm loving this, I have missed this" It's true the four of us had an incredible friendship, see through the lies, know what each other is really feeling without saying anything, and still very protective of each other. He knew something was going on with me and when I kept saying "Nothing, I'm just tired" he pulled the 'Bradley' line and said "Da*n it Macee talk to me" haha I forget that I am easier to read than Dr. Suess' One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. I am grateful for our frienships and love that months later Bradley has also realized and made sure to let us know how much he misses us and hates that things aren't the same. Thanks for the talks friends and it ended up being an okay day. Now for the drive-in tonight with Daniel and the Davis' fam, NIECE night and sleepover Wednesday, Girls night Thursday, and then the weekend!

Don't judge the fact that I was swimming for two hours, and ran around 3 hours before this was taken...but it still captures us perfectly! Happy to be reunited, no +1's, no drama, and being active and competitive!
